Cool Drinks for Hot Days!

 

Here is a trio of refreshing and natural beverages that bring home the flavors of Summer.

 

Strawberry Limeade
Preparation: 15 minutes
Serving size: 4-6

 

Ingredients:

1 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice (6 to 8 limes)
4 cups of water
2 cups of fresh strawberries
½ cup of organic or raw sugar

 

Watermelon Lemonade
Preparation: 15 minutes
Serving size: 4-6

 

Ingredients:

1 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice (4 to 6 lemons)
4 cups of water
2 cups of fresh watermelon
½ cup of organic or raw sugar

Procedure for Strawberry Limeade and Watermelon Lemonade:

 

Squeeze the juice and slice the fruit
Blend all ingredients together until frothy. Serve immediately and store any extra in the refrigerator, preferably in a glass container.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Serving size: Makes a half gallon

 

Ingredients for Tea:

4 bags of decaffeinated green tea
4 cups of water
¼ cup of organic or raw sugar or sweeten to your taste

 

Ingredients for Lemonade:

1 cups of fresh squeezed lemon juice (4 to 6 lemons)
4 cups of water
½ cup of raw or organic sugar

 

Procedure:

Steep the tea, sweeten and let cool
Prepare the lemonade
Mix the tea and lemonade together. Chill and serve.
